Nicaraguan Boa Constrictor (Boa imperator) best substrate

I have a big bag of Reptichip premium coconut substrate. Is it alright to use this for a Nicaraguan Boa Constrictor (Boa imperator)

What percent mixture are you ensuing.

I have a bag of Reptichip premium coconut substrate. My humidity is low how often should I mist with water? There is already a big water dish in the tank. I know there humidity 50% normal and 70% for shedding. From what I have read on-line coconut substrate holds humidity better than other substrates. I don't plan on buying anymore of this type of substrate.

I buy one large bag of each and pour them into a big tub to mix then together. Then I scoop it from there as needed. You can mix it for whatever look you desire. No special recipe.

The Forest Floor is very damp so I leave the top of the tub and stir it until it all dries out to prevent it from molding.

As for misting that depends on your environment. I hardly ever mist my Ball as my humidify is regularly above 45%....I actually don't remember the last time I did. The only snakes I mist daily, or almost daily are my GTP and ETB.

I use Reptichip for all my snakes and I love it. When I do a complete cage cleaning the humidity will spike for a few days then come back to normal.

    I don't see why you couldn't.

I just was going after a certain look and my mixture gave me that.

I used to add Eco Earth as well which really did have a nice natural look I was good for. I stopped because it is kinda dusty when it dries out. Make a mixture you like and gives you what you need.
