    Morph ID

    Just picked up as a single gene pastel. I haven’t worked with pastel in the past and I’m not great at identifying it. So, is single gene pastel correct?

    It looks like a pastave (pastel Mojave) to me.

    That would make sense. I definitely feel that there’s something off “not just pastel”. Again I’m not good with pastel so I wasn’t sure

    I agree with pastave as well. If not mojave then something in the BEL complex. There's no way that's just pastel in my opinion.

    Pattern wise it does look similar to Pastave but color wise it's a bit dark even for an adult. I'm leaning more towards Pastel Phantom, which not only matches the color better, but would explain how the "eyes" in the side pattern sometimes run down into the belly and have a more triangular shape.

    That’s an interesting idea, I didn’t even think about that. I can see it though. If I’m not able to figure it out now I’m sure I’ll know when she has babies next year.
