    CHE and HerpStats

I need to set up a temporary enclosure for a new arrival later next week (woma python). I use all PVC enclosures. But, the new PVC enclosures are not currently ready. Although, since I have several glass tanks laying around, I am going to set something up temporarily using those. I plan on moving the Mexican black king into the glass tank (temporarily) since they do better with cooler temps and less humidity. I have a ton of spare glass tanks, along with ceramic light fixtures, the light fixture stands, and the CHE bulbs with separate dimmers.

Question... the only thermostats I have are HerpStats. Anyone ever use a Herpstat on a CHE? Good idea? Bad idea? Or... am I better off just using the dimmer, and get the temps dialed-in correctly with it?

    Ideas? Opinions?

    Re: CHE and HerpStats

I've used CHE on a herpstat set to dimming mode for my quarantine setups many times with no issues.

    Re: CHE and HerpStats

I use a dimmer with my CHEs but I’m sure they’d work just fine with a thermostat. Congrats on the cool new Woma. I’ve always liked them.
