    Bp fasting

So my BP just ate today after a 10month fast. Unfortunately I had to feed him live to get off. He's been on frozen thawed for at least 5 years now. Does this mean I have to start giving him live or was that an outlier to give him a jump start????? Please help!

I'd go back to f/t. There is no reason he should refuse f/t if he has had it his whole life. Any chance there is something wrong with the batch of f/t you had, maybe it smelled funny to him?

Yea I'm definitely going to offer f/t. My other BP eats every time so I'm assuming there's nothing wrong with the batch of rats I have. I was really curious with me giving him a live rat that it doesn't make him convert back permanently to live only.

You can't tell until you try the next feed. Personally I'd offer f/t next time too. Some snakes get "live" stuck in their heads with only one regression, but others don't. Silly sneks.

It might take a while before he gets on board but he’ll eat whatever’s available if he gets hungry enough.
