I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I hope you have a plan for all those hatchlings if you plan on breeding them down the road. Normals and normal het/poss-het something do not sell well unless you have a really strong reputation. Wholesalers will often give you next to nothing for them if they will even take them. Make sure you work all that out before you actually breed them.

If it were me, I would try to prove out his het axanthic to a 100% DH axanthic lavender albino, or better yet an axanthic 100% het lavender albino, before attempting to prove out those females because let's say he doesn't prove out, this is what your odds are looking like breeding him with them:

1/3 Lavender Albino 33% het Axanthic
2/3 Normal 100% het Lavender Albino 33% het Axanthic

Even if he does prove out that's only changing a small fraction of those normals to Axanthic or Axanthic Lavender Albino:
    1/24 Lavender Snow
7/24 Lavender Albino 50-66% het Axanthic
3/24 Axanthic 100% het Lavender Albino
13/24 Normal 100% het Lavender Albino 50-66% het Axanthic

That's a whole lot of babies you could be sitting on for a long time, maybe even permanently. I'm telling you this because I've been in that position, still sitting on the only normal (100% het pied) I produced last year, and I expect to be sitting on all the ones I produce this year for a very long time. I don't want you to be blindsighted.

    Him x 100% DH either:
1/8 Lavender Snow ------>This would make a great 1.0 holdback that would be far better to prove out your females
3/8 Lavender Albino 66% het Axanthic
2/8 Axanthic 100% het Lavender Albino
2/8 Normal 100% het Lavender Albino 66% het Axanthic
    or
1/2 Lavender Albino 50% het Axanthic
1/2 Normal 100% het Lavender Albino 50% het Axanthic

See how dramatically better those odds are?

I'm really not trying to discourage you. I know that finding the right females for him will not be easy, as TSK Lavender Snows are almost non-existent. If that is a combo that is really dear to you, and you can't find any better females, then by all means go for it, just be financially prepared. Best of luck no matter what you decide!

    Re: New rack, new purchases

Thanks for the advice, I have a couple of different males to mix up with these females, some hopefully to pull out some visuals and some for hets, but that’s a few years down the road, and as for the normals/hets, I have a mate who owns a reptile store, and he’ll take any surplus I have, and he never seems to have a problem really selling them, as they’re pretty cheap n cheerful, I don’t mind giving them to him for free as I will keep what I need and he can have the rest 😊
