    Venus

They're all my favorites, but this one is a little extra special. I could look at her all day.

Her little light patch is really cool. I adore paradox, especially when it shows a completely different shade like hers.

I would not call that paradox, that is a ringer, which is a good indication that the "ph pied" is actually het pied. It's somewhat of a marker. Can you have a ringer without a pied gene in the mix? Absolutely. But if a pied gene is in the pairing, it's a good indicator for an actual het, instead of a possible. I'm interested in proving her out though, she'll be going to the triple het male.

Really? I've never seen a ringer like that before. Usually they are pretty small and pure white. The location on the body checks out, just never seen one like that.

I agree, usually a ringer is only an inch long at the most. I've never seen one that goes so far down the tail (and up the lateral) and washes out so much color around it.

Not all ringers are white. Friend of mine just had a clutch that produced 4 ringers, they were all a light tan orange color. There's no pied gene in the mix with hers, though. I have better pics of Venus, but they are too big to post here though.
