    Scientific Name Cards for Enclosures

Where do people get the fancy cards with the scientific name for their snakes that I see attached on the outside of some enclosures? The ones that usually have the Species and Genus with a brief blurb and a location map.

    Thanks!

They're missing a bunch of subtypes like long tail and short tail boas. Is that the only place to get them or are there other sources with additional options?

That's the best looking assortment of labels like that that I'm aware of. There's a bunch of missing/outdated things about them. Retic genus is no longer Python and should be Malayopython, lists Argentine conservation status as least concern when they're actually a CITES 1 species and the most critically threatened Boa species in their natural range, Papuan Python is no longer in Liasis and should be classified in its own monotypic Genus of Apodora, etc...

You might also ask them about that. They might be interested in filling your request.

Depending on how swamped they are, the folks at Cloud Forest will often make a label for you by request - they did it for me when I asked about a label for Tarahumara Mountain Boas.
    1.0 Jungle Carpet Python 'Ziggy'
    1.0 Bredl's Python 'Calcifer'
    0.1 Brazilian Rainbow Boa 'Mara'
1.1 Tarahumara Mountain Boas 'Paco' and 'Frida'
2.0 Dumeril's Boas 'Gyre' and 'Titan'
    1.0 Stimson's Python 'Jake'
1.1 Children's Pythons 'Miso' and 'Ozzy'
    1.0 Anthill Python 'Cricket'
    1.0 Plains Hognose 'Peanut'
1.1 Rough-scaled Sand Boas 'Rassi' and 'Kala'
    1.0 Ball Python (BEL) 'Sugar'
    1.0 Gray-banded Kingsnake 'Nacho'
1.0 Green Tree Python (Aru) 'Jade'

I'll do that and let you all know what they say. Looks like they're still selling the Tarahumara label which is one I'm going to buy. I'll ask them about creating an Amarali for me. I know we have several Longicauda keepers which would make sense to do at the same time for short and long tail boas.

@jmcrook - If they're receptive to updating or creating new labels, then do you want me to inquire about the retic card? You'll have to supply me with the info though as retics and really any pythons are way outside my expertise.

Nah, thanks though. I haven’t kept retics in almost three years and good riddance... I’ll stick with my Morelia and Boas and in the event that I should get any of these labels they’ve got all of my species properly labeled aside from the conservation status of Boa Constrictor Occidentalis.
