Uhhhh.... Story was originally posted in June of 2018, same person.... Even though the 2021 story says "Last Week" in the article
So reality or hyped up myth?? And are 23 Foot reticulated pythons even a thing??

If it's a small weaker person it's very possible. Retics can get up to 30' though it is rare.

No retics can not get up to 30 feet.
The Sulawesi mainland locality is one of the largest so a 23 foot female is possible. Also bear in mind that in Indonesia people don't tend to get as big/tall as people in Europe and the US due to genetics and dietary considerations, so it would be possible for a retic to eat an adult, though again highly unlikely.

I'm not sure I believe this but if a snake can supposedly get 48' 8" then I think a snake could get 30'.

Pretty sure most shedded skins stretch larger than the actual snake ... maybe wrong
