Stolen snake, the ultimate betrayal. (Satire)
The unthinkable has happened.
Most of you will remember a little over a month ago, I brought home a spotted python, who's been quarantined in my wife's office. After much deliberation, we settled on calling him Nigel. I've kept you all updated on Nigel, and he continues to be a fantastic eater, shed for me last week with no issue, and is a dream to handle.
Although Nigel still has some time to go in quarantine, yesterday I had a short lull in my workload and decided to start planning out where I would put his enclosure, when the time came for him to move into my office, AKA the reptile room. It was at this point, that the villain of our story came strolling in. You see Nigel has been a much more active snake than my wife is use to seeing. The hognoses tend to just hang out, and the BP spends the bulk of his time in a hide, so Nigel being out in the evenings is something that she was not use to.
She came in, saw that I was moving some stuff around and asked what I was doing. I explained that I was arranging a place for Nigel's enclosure, to which she responded with.. lets call it a very unique face, which a few years of marriage has taught me meant she wasn't happy with my response. "But, but, but" shot from her mouth like bullets at my heart, and it was at this point that I realized that my spotted python, was now her spotted python. I replaced the items I had moved, accepted the defeat I had suffered, and went back to work to contemplate my tactical errors.
The moral of the story, don't quarantine cute snakes in your partner's office, because you may lose them.

I'd say Nigel stole your wife, not that she stole him
