Brumation & slugs from a virgin female

So I'm looking at an adult female from 2015 that has never been bred. Seller says they brumated her & she laid slugs. From what I have gathered, on here and google I find that BPs don't brumate. I haven't heard of virgins laying slugs but I do know that BPs have laid through parthenogenesis before. Does this still sound like a deal I could move forward with or not? Thank you kindly!

By brumated they likely mean lowered the temperatures and reduced feeding, not a full on literal brumation. However, it would be best to ask them to clarify. It's not unusual for first time females to lay slugs. If she was never bred then she would likely lay slugs. Partho is rare in BPs and not typical or expected.

Other than getting clarification on what they mean by brumating, I wouldn't be overly concerned about anything. I've had virgins lay slugs in just about every species of reptile I've had a female of. BPs are one of those, and they have gone on to lay healthy eggs when bred. If you are not trying to breed, she may do it again though, so you should be mindful of that and make sure she has good husbandry to reduce the chance of egg binding.

Seller sounds like an idiot as bps don't brumate, how long has he had this snake? Likely it's been flipped a few times already and some aspiring breeder had paired this snake, far more likely than it being a partho at 5 years old would be my guess anyways.

Re: Brumation & slugs from a virgin female

Thank you all! I offered half asking, they refused then messaged me 2days later at midnight that they would take it, needless to say I did not purchase. I was highly suspicious & both reputable breeders on Facebook & you all helped me confirm I had good reason to be suspicious.
This person is just flipping animals, already now has more BPs and suddenly has retics now, among plenty others they have sold. They list on both FB & Morphmarket so if any of you see Toasty Exotics on morphmarket be forewarned!
