Question Bioactive terrarium and fish tank water

Hi there. So I have a bioactive enclosure set up for my ball python, which he seems to love, with some springtails, purple and orange isopods and some live plants (marble pothos, spider plant, dracaena), the whole nine. My girlfriend has a live-planted fish tank that cycles regularly and she is also an avid amateur "plant mom" (her own words, shes right next to me as I write this). She saves the water from her fish tank that she collects while doing water changes and uses it to water her plants as it contains an abundance of nitrogen and other nutrients/minerals that are beneficial to her plants. I was wondering if this water could be used in my bioactive terrarium or if the addition of these exogenous nutrients would somehow screw up the delicate balance that exists in there. It sounds like a good idea but im worried that I may accidentally cause the growth of detrimental bacteria/fungi or introduce some new ones that will have a negative impact on my tiny ecosystem. Any advice from either personal experience or knowledge of bioactives would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Bioactive terrarium and fish tank water

I don't know that I would use it in a reptile enclosure. My wife also uses tank water for her plants, typically I syphon he rout a 3 gallon bucket full before letting the python syphon take over, but I wouldn't put it in my snake's enclosures.

Full disclosure, I've never done it, but knowing what's in aquarium water aside from the beneficial stuff that plants love (it has electrolytes ) I wouldn't try it. I don't mess with my aquarium if I have a cut on my hand, I wash my hands before and after doing anything with my tank, etc etc. so I figure, why would I want my snake crawling around in water that I don't want to be crawling around in?
