baby pastel bp
Will a baby pastel bp's gold markings fade as s/he gets older, or will they retain their bright, vibrant gold markings? What about the baby fire bp?

Re: baby pastel bp
I'm pretty sure they will fade, and because bogertophis hasn't been here,

It really depends on the line and what else is in there. Your average pastel with no other morphs usually fades significantly. Some lines retain some of the yellows on the lower half fairly well. Having something in the fire complex, yellow belly complex, enchi or desert ghost (off the top of my head) will help retain the color some, there are probably many others.
I have an enchi pastel asphalt/or/yb that is a young adult and just as bright as the day I brought her home if not more.

Re: baby pastel bp
In the world of herpetology, what does "pastel" mean anyway?

well when it comes to ball pythons,
"The Pastel is an incomplete dominant or what many refer to as Co-Dominant mutation that produces a Ball Python that intensifies the yellow pigmentation to various degrees. High blushing, green or pale eyes, and white lips are also prominent features."

A super pastel would hold the golds pretty well, wouldn't it?

well pastel is co dominant, so the combined form would make it homozygous, and its INCREDIBLY gold / yellow and has a ton of blushing on it.

That's easy-
Upper left on this page, see where it says "FORUM" in dark blue? Click on that, & you'll have a whole page of options.
When you scroll down to the category "Ball Pythons", under that is the "General BPs" where you are now, & below that are 4 more options. Pick the most relevant to your topic & click on category.
That opens a whole page of what's IN that category, but at the upper left is a dark blue box "Post New Thread", just click on that & fill in your title, dialogue & "Submit new thread" near the bottom right.
If your new topic belongs IN this current category, you can save time by looking again at the top of THIS page, just above "Reply to Thread" are some greyed-out links & you can click on any of those to "take you there".
I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets lost on new forums...
