    Shes only struck at me once and that was when my mom was vacuuming in the hallway and I was spot clean some poo. Thankfully she only hit the back of my knuckle and wasn't really able to bite me

    A bite from a ball python or other typical harmless snake isn't a big deal, you'll survive, I promise. But I prefer to avoid bites too- snake teeth are a lot like sticking your hand in a holly bush, or else getting stuck by a couple safety pin simultaneously. Very little damage- rarely get infected- mostly just startles you.

    The bites you really want to avoid are "feeding bites"- because snakes like to hang on to what they think is dinner, & the more you wiggle, the tighter they grip. So use tongs when you feed snakes to keep your hands out of the way, & always pay attention to their body language- most bites are totally avoidable.
