Exclamation Is this a poop or regurg?

Hey guys, first ever post here. Getting to the point: is this poop or regurgitation? It didn't really break apart at all, and it reeked to high heaven so I am leaning towards regurg, but this little dude has made some rancid poops before so I'm not sure.
Apologies if this isn't the right place to post this, but I am beyond upset. Temps are good, 80 cool side 90 hot side and he ate 4 days (around 96) hours ago, so I don't know what to make of this.

That's definitely regurgitation. From what you've said it's probably due to the fact that he just ate 4 days ago. That is way to close together for a bp even a baby. Put him on paper towels and no touching or feeding for minimum 2 weeks. When you do offer food again it needs to be a smaller than normal meal.

I am not understanding. By four days I meant he ate 4 days ago; his last meal before that was 9 days. He's not over fed so I'm wondering what caused this.

For clarification, you're feeding him every 4 days?

Oh gods no, every 7-9; I meant that he has had this meal in his tummy for 4 days.

Okay that makes more sense. When is the last time he pooped? How often are you checking your temperatures? Are they controlled by a thermostat?

I agree, it's a regurgitation (the smell + appearance are the giveaways...). If he happened to have been slow to digest & staying on the cool side, then yes, it still might have been too close to the previous meal, even at 9 days ago...but it shouldn't have been. Are you sure about the actual temps. in his enclosure, how did you read them? or are you relying on the setting of a t-stat?

You also mentioned he's had some "rancid poops before..." so you really should have his stool checked by a vet, & perhaps the snake too.

I have a heat mat on a thermostat and two thermometers with probes in each of his hides, and one in the center measuring ambient. I'm almost certain temps are good.

You really need to be "certain", so you know if this is a "husbandry" issue or perhaps he is ill? Better (& cheaper) for you to narrow it down than the vet...

Then there's a deeper issue. Snakes won't regurge without having a damn good reason to. If he ate that rodent four days ago and just now regurged it with no temperature issues, it sounds to me like something was stopping him from digesting? When did he last poop?
