+1 to this. I have a Green Cheek Conure, a smaller bird as far as pet birds go, and I'd rather take 10 bites from the BP over one when that ball of hateful feathers is mad about something. My BP tagged me once when he was about the size of yours and while I did get a drop or two of blood, I almost didn't even realize what had happened. Plus that's what I get for trying to do some enclosure maintenance on feeding day.

Have a GCC too, can confirm. Dude tore a chunk out of my cheek once and I've even had budgies draw blood before. At least with snakes the wounds tend to be little pinprick punctures (unless you're dealing with the big boys of course) and not sizable sections that are literally crushed open. Parrot bites are no joke, no matter the size.
