Food too large
I bought a rat and did not have a scale but when the rat was running around stretched out he looked about the same size maybe a just a little bigger then my bp. But once he started eating him I realized he was definitely too large but I couldn’t do anything to stop him. I am worried for him. I don’t know how he got it down and now he looks just over stuffed. Is there anything I can do. I feel terrible.

Don’t handle him for 72 hours. If he keeps it down for 24 hours your fine. If he regurgitates it up, don’t try to feed for two weeks.
If he got it down I bet he’s fine. Just let him be.
Good luck!

Re: Food too large
Agree that he's probably fine. The first time I fed my girl a rat, I felt horrible, she looked like an overstuffed sausage! After that she would only eat every other week, so I kept feeding her the same size rats and she's grown into them.
Just leave him alone for several days with a nice warm UTH and he'll probably be just fine. Maybe not hungry again for a while, lol.
