    Batting 1000

Me feeding all 6 critters in a night is unusual for my routine, but the moons/planets/stars aligned tonight and it made sense to feed the whole room another one or two times before cool down. And hit a grand slam!

The royal python has been the strongest feeder here for over a year now which is weird. Rivaled by every other snake here, but proportionately relative to typical food drive? Absolutely the most ravenous snake I have currently.

Also, first time Mirabelle has taken prey arboreally! Wasn’t terribly more exciting but she did consume entirely while suspended from the perch and shelf. Actually 5/6 took their prey from atop of/perched on/laying over some form of cage furnishing.

Not generally huge on posting feeding pics but felt like a worthy occasion. Prost!

I always feed everything on the same day, it makes it easier for me to keep track of things but there's almost always a refusal from someone. Hitting a home run doesn't happen too often. Congrats on yours!

    Love the arboreal feeds!

    Thanks man!

This is actually the first season I will have tried temp and food cycling most of the critters here.

I’m planning to get last meals in them by Halloween, give November for them to evacuate their bowels, then begin dropping ambient temps a couple degrees every week after Thanksgiving until hitting ~70° or so by Xmas/New Years.

They’ll still be given a hot spot during the day for 8ish hrs and slightly cooler than normal daytime ambient temps though. Planning to warm back up a couple degrees each week starting around mid February and be back to normal operating temps by spring.

If anyone looks to be getting thin or doing poorly I’ll reassess this plan and address conditions as needed.
