Naga: The Shy Orange Dream Python (Progression Thread)

Meet Naga! She is a two month old orange dream ball python. I bought her from a local breeder, and to be honest she was not being kept in the best conditions but seems to be healthy. I just wanted to get her out of there and in to a more comfy home.

I am a first time owner and am still learning a lot. Naga is extremely shy, I do not think she was handled much. She never bites ( at least not yet), just curls up and hides her head. I just hold her and gently stroke her hoping to loosen her up. Any advice on how to make a ball python less shy?

Also can you see the butterfly on the top of her head?
