    Orchid bark problems

I’ve noticed since using orchid bark, every now and again I’ll get one or two bark mites in my viv’s. Even blasting the bark in the microwave doesn’t seem to deter them. Anyone had similar problems? What other type of natural looking bark would be better? Mainly for my BP’s and Boa.

Don’t think they’re anything to worry about to be honest .. have you heard something to the contrary?

As far as I’ve read, bark mites don’t effect the snake at all. Just a rather strange feeling knowing there’s little critters in there.

I get tons of critters and insects when I gather clumps of moss for the snake vivs
