    Going into shed, feeding?

    Hi,

My daughter got a ball python a couple of weeks ago. He has eaten once and is due to eat again today, but my daughter noticed that his eyes have turned blue so she thinks he's going into shed so we're not sure if she should feed him today or wait?

    Thanks!

I used to offer each new snake a meal in shed one time, if they took it great. If not I never offered to that snake while in shed again. My King was the only one who'd eat in shed, so I simply stopped offering. Now I just wait til they're done.

It won't hurt to hold off. It can even be beneficial. This way she can focus her energy on her shed without trying to digest simultaneously. Typically after a shed they're good and hungry too.
