Re: Wife finally said I could have a snake...
Lol. My gf didn’t want one in the house. She finally caved. I bought a bp. She fell in love with it. Out of the ten snakes we now own. I’ve only bought 3. Lol
Now if I can only break her of her obsession with bp morphs!! I need more boas in my life! They are my favorite!

Looks like they're coming from multiple sources. I hope you have a quarantine plan in place.

Yes, they'll be properly quarantined. Two are from the same seller. They'll be in a new rack. The other three will be in quarantine tubs in separate rooms until they're ready to move into the rack.
I've owned ball pythons and boas in the past, but it's been ~10 years.
What is the general consensus for quarantine time? Is 2 months sufficient?

Ok awesome!!! Sorry to assume, but we see a LOT of rookie mistakes. Many don't even know what quarantine is.
Many people consider 2 months to be enough. I personally go 90, it can't hurt.
Welcome back to the hobby! I took a few years off myself a while back. Same situation, my gf (now fiance) was afraid of snakes. Now I have 7 and the family is growing. She's actually come a LONG way and handles most of them.
Good luck, I hope to see you around the forum!

It's been a bit of a journey. I had nine ball pythons at one point years ago and sold them off to fund a boa project. I had a bad house fire that took the lives of the boas. A few years later my wife, son and myself moved to Texas so my son could be closer to my mom who was phobic of snakes so I didn't put much thought into it. 2.5 years ago my mom passed away. So here I am getting back into it. The wife likes reptiles/snakes. Her issue was just adding more pets to our already full house. She was angry at first until I showed her the enchi Sugar. She's kind of excited to see her now. 🥰
