What is the temp in the middle of the T8?

    Good luck!
A solid like 85 or so. A good middle ground.

In regards to humidity, coconut husk should fix this problem. My humidity runs around 46% once it fully dries out. Even though I get perfect sheds most of the time, I still try to mist if I see one of the BPs is starting going into shed.
A PH3 75-Watt. Her temps have gotten better since I rearranged my room a little, moved the AC unit to be facing the corner of my bed so it’s basically facing entirely away from her and that’s helped quite a bit. It wasn’t on her in the first place but I think having it head the entirely opposite direction gives the cold air time to sink more in the room before it circulates more towards her tank.

I’ll have to give that substrate a try! Hopefully it helps. Like the post below says, the humidity is surprising because I live in Oregon and it isn’t very dry here and I’m wondering if her hygrometers are off. It seems strange.

Right? I had the same thought. I’m wondering if her hygrometers are just not reading properly. I have my AC unit in my room (it’s one of the standing floor ones with the tube in the window) and it’s facing the opposite way of her so there’s no drafts near her. I’m wondering if that AC unit maybe also acts as a dehumidifier a little bit when it’s pulling the air into the unit to turn it into the life-saving cold air I love.

Air conditioner will dry out the air as well as forced air heat (furnace)

That’s what I started guessing, too. Luckily we have central gas heating so when it’s cold it’s not hard to manage her humidity, but I’ll just have to be extra diligent when I have to use my AC which luckily isn’t for much of the year.
