VE200 paired with Accurite wireless Therm. Readings way off

Hey everyone, I’m expecting eggs soon and I have a mini fridge incubator all set up. I followed Debs instructions on the sticky for an egg box set up. I have a ve200 thermostat probe inside a dummy box along with an accurite wireless thermometer. My Thermostat is set to 88 degrees and the probe is also reading 88 degrees. In the same box my thermometer reads 95 degrees and 82 percent humidity. Why such a variance? And which reading do I trust? I did 4 cups vermiculite and 1.5 cups water in a 6 qt tub. I feel like I should trust the VE200 over a $10 thermometer but I don’t want to be wrong. Has anyone else had this issue?

Like you have them in the tub where the eggs are going to be placed?

its a mock tub. identical to the setup i would be using...im trying to make sure i have everything correct before the eggs actually show up. So yeah, all temperature probes are in the same ONE tub inside an incubator reading different temps like i originally posted lol

I keep my probe taped to the middle point of my incubator and I put my thermometer in the same spot. It's also good to check the temperature of every shelf with the thermometer to make sure they are all a safe level. My top 3 shelves are at 90 my bottom 3 shelves are at 89
