You are feeding to much and sooner or later it will backfire she will go into fast and than you will complain as to why your BP as been fasting for 6 months.

YOU need to feed APPROPRIATELY the 15% rules which should not be applied to an animal bigger than 250 grams.

You want to grow your animal nice and slow at a steady pace, over feeding and fatty liver disease are a reality so it is time for you to scale back down and take in consideration that as you BP get older it's metabolism is changing and becomes slower.

Over feeding. My adult males get a small rat every 10-14 days.
The 10-15% rule is primarily for juvenile BPs.

Feeding the way you are is unhealthy long term and will almost certainly lead to lengthy good strikes.

Re: Female ball python weight gain

Ok, I'll start doing a small rat every 10 days. I was worried i was overfeeding. Thanks for all of your help guys! I figured that much weight gain was too much. All of my others are gaining, but not that much.

Sounds like overfeeding. I feed all my BPs small rats once they reach 400 grams. They stay on small rats every 7 days for the rest of their lives. Bigger females might get 2 or 3 depending on who decided not to eat / was in shed that particular week.
