    Been A While

    Hey guys,

Been a few months since I've posted or really even lurked here. So I figured I'd give a slight update.

On Match 13th my work had a meeting in the morning to discuss a multiphase plan for WFH. Different groups would roll out every week or two. My team was deemed critical and would remain seemingly indefinitely. I came back from lunch and our VP gathered everyone around and said plans changed. Someone in the building the day before came down with flu like symptoms. So out of an abundance of caution, everyone in the building was being sent home. We were to take whatever we needed. Laptops, monitors, docks, etc. Even our chairs! And we have been WFH since.

My kitchen table is my office. The next week the schools closed. So not only was I WFH but I dot to listen to my wife and daughter fight about doing enough Lexia or IXL or w/e other software was serving as the substitute teacher.

Now it is almost July and what back to work plans they had were delayed past July now due to Corona number upticks.

And this Friday my daughter turns 6 and we can't have a party for her for the first time.

I think that about sums things up.

I haven't really been on here because this site was a distraction from work while at the office. I lurked and posted on my down time. Now I have way too many distractions here at home.

I hope all of you are going well.

Hey, very nice to hear from you, MasonC2K...this pandemic has made an abundance of chaos for most everyone, but I'm glad you & your family are OK, apart from being inconvenienced to the max. Rest assured some of us have picked up the slack here for those pesky necro-threads...but we miss having you here with us. TKS for the update, hang out when you can & stay healthy.

    Re: Been A While

    Hey Chris,
Good to see you resurface. These are truly strange days indeed. Can't imagine what the "New Normal" is going to look like with the whole world spinning out of control. Nevertheless, I'm certain we have to come out on the other side eventually. So hang in there, stay prayerful and take care of your family. Your family here will still be around for you whenever you can come back again.
