He looks great! Definitely seems to love his perch. His pattern is really cool! Awesome pick up man!

Had a first and very short handling session a few nights ago. Very very inquisitive and active little critter. Took one shot at my phone but has yet to strike at me.

Two meals down the hatch and doing well at a week and a half here. Gets up in the perches every night like clockwork and stalks the floor of the tub. Had one more short handling session while changing paper towels the other day. Very calm and curious little guy. Possibly considering Willard Bruce as a name. Not settled on it quite yet though.

What a cool variation in coloring and pattern from the female's look.

This guy looks like something in between the rock and your female Brisy.

From afar he has a lot of contrast and appears to have some yellows.

Some of Jewel's littermates looked like that in certain ways.

I'm really liking the fact he's active and perching a lot. Jewel still perches but she's a pretty mellow ground dweller now.

Nick and Justin's book, seems to indicate the males tend to climb more and have a wider territory range than the females.

    You've got another smoker there!

Yep! His overall pattern is more banded like my rockhampton but his coloration leans more toward my female Brisbane. I like his more defined head pattern too. If you look closely at the females head you can see the same pattern but it’s just a little less outlined and smudged.

His markings do appear much more yellow/khaki/gold than the female and the darker outlines bordering them are thinner than hers as well.

The background color on either of them is tricky for me to correctly describe though given my colorblindness. I know it’s brownish but depending on the lighting it can seem to have some redness to it as well. Also maybe some grey greenish color closer to the belly on both of them.

I’ll defer to those without chromatic perceptual deficiencies to weigh in.

A few more pics after changing paper towels. Got a couple in the sun that capture his color slightly better. He turns 1yr on Thursday.

    Beautiful.
The Bredli took a few swipes at me today
I forgot I fed him on the 5th. He needs more time between feeding and handling.
    I had it coming.
Your fella looks beautiful in the sun. Love him.

Thanks dude! Sounds like Kevin is getting a bit greedy with the relative increase of portion and frequency, yeah? This guy is jumpy and hissy right out of the tub but still has only offered a couple shots at my phone. Still really hard to capture his colors. He’s overall kind of light compared to Charlotte but lots of the pictures come out way darker it seems.
