Bought some birch sticks for a snake cage from Hobby Lobby...how should I prep these?

Before I put these in my snake cage for it to slither on, climb over, chill out on, etc, what do I need to do to prep it? It still has the bark on it. So I just need to scrub them down in hot water and bake them for a bit or what? They're not sticks I found out in the yard, but being from a craft store, surely they need something to prep them.

You can buy Clorhexidine from a veterinary supply or farm store such as Southern States or Tractor Supply. Mix it as the lebel calls and just spray them and let them dry. You can also use it to spray out their enclosures when you clean.

Sweet, I already have a spray bottle full of chrlorohexidine solution that I spray to disinfect the bowls/hides/enclosure of my other snake. Good deal, I'll get the length I want from the branch, spray them down and let it dry. Easy enough!
