pink spots

noticed some faint pink spots on my pied today. looking for a few extra set of eyes/opinions. she shed recently so i don't think thats it. does not look like a burn. heat is from UTH. hot side 92-95. some of the spots are on her belly but others are on her back so i'm just not sure.


i think it could be from being pressed up against the hide too tightly? hide was getting to small for her so i changed it after seeing the spots. thanks in advance and happy fathers day to all the dads.

Probably just minor bruising. You'd never see it on a normal colored BP.

Don't think they are burns but your hot spot is too high, I'd drop that to around 88 max.

Pretty normal on pied, everything shows on a white or partially white snake, simply laying against something will lead to pink/red markings.

So long it's not under the belly which could be symptomatic of a much bigger issue it's fine.

Thanks. I took her out again just now after a day with the lower hot side temp and still saw some pink on the belly but after she is out for a few min i look again and its gone. heat might still just be slightly too high? now at 90 which i don't understand why that temp would cause any irritation. has been a little difficult to get things exact because her UTH is controlled by a thermostat that also run for one other UTH and the two enclosures always show slightly different temps so if i lower hers one of the other animals then goes slightly below optimal temp (hers will be 90 and the other will be 87) but i guess that is OK? thoughts on the pink going away after just a few min out of the enclosure?

The pink goes away because the tissues are no longer compressed and the bloodflow normalizes.

It might be best to use 2 separate thermostats, sorry to say. Are the 2 UTHs identical size & brands? They should be, if using one t-stat for both, but even if they're the "same", it might be that one has a little more resistance (due to manufacturing imperfections) than the other, resulting in the temperature variance.
