Whats a good chlorohexidine ratio?

I got a big jug of the blue stuff today to mix up for cleaning my snakes cage, the hidey holes, etc and im curious how much you guys like to use. Its a 28oz squirt bottle (about 1/5th of a gallon) but the marks only go down i think for a 10-1 mix of whatever goes in it, so i may have to break out and use a measuring spoon/cup and sacrifice it to use solely for mixing this chemical.

I mix it 1:32
I have a 32 oz spray bottle from Home Depot and I have an old NyQuil cup that has the 30ml line on it ( that's 1 oz).

Hmm, im bad at math, but if mine has oz markings, i could go below 1oz a little ways and probably be ok. There are NO chemical spray bottles with dilution marks anywhere in my town.

I use 2 Oz per gallon. I washed out a gallon milk jug with hot water and vinegar then rinsed well with hot water, measured 2 Oz in a measuring cup and filled it the rest of the way with water. I labeled it all over with a sharpie and put it in my laundry room up on a shelf. I just use that to pour into my spray bottle.

If you have measuring spoons for cooking, there are two tablespoons per fluid ounce.

The nice thing with ratios is that you can apply it to any form of measurement. If you have a mini shot glass, you could do 32 of those in water, and fill one up for your 2% chlorhexidine solution. Same with a spoon, a bottle cap lid, almost anything. Just don’t use a large cup because if you end up not needing a full cup of the chlorhexidine solution, then you won’t know how much you actually need. You could also weigh it as well and do it that way.

But for a 2% chlorhexidine solution I do 1:32 solution to water as well. If yours is more concentrated then that, then you’ll need to add more water of course to dilute the solution more.
