    BP Hot Tub

My bp is going into shed so I deiced to bump the humidity up a little, by putting the heat lamp a little closer to the water bowl. Well Flicker decided that he would investigate the new humidity levels and found that his water is now warmed and he has been in it for the last couple hours. I turned the lamp off of a little bit and he went back in his hide, but when I turned the lamp back on he went straight back into the water. He seems content to just watch the world go by him. I am 98.4% sure that he doesn't have mites. He did have them but I have been treating him for a month and have not seen any in several weeks on any of his paper towels or on the paper towel test. Anyone ever had similar experiences?

Just sounds like he's enjoying the warmer pool water. And going into shed, I'd encourage him to keep soaking by keeping the water a bit warmer, especially since
you said he did have mites a while back...he may still be slightly dehydrated from them. Soaking should be up to your snake to decide.

It's really funny when I turned the lamp off he went into his hide and then kept poking his head out like he was waiting for me to turn the lamp back on. Much to his pleasure I obliged.

I agree. So, I wouldn't run the light all night long or anything, but since he's OBVIOUSLY enjoying it, I'd run it during the day for him, & especially pre-shed. Pretty cute!
