    Concerns

I have a ball python that seems to be exploring and stuff during the day. I had her for about a week and a half now and before she would always hude until today. I checked the temperatures and humidty and every seeme good. Humidty at 55% and the basking spout around 90 and 91 and the ambiet air between 80 and 82. Is she looking for food or something?

Possibly a combination of feeling brave enough (after about 10 days of settling in) to check things out, & yes, likely hungry. When did she last eat?

But without more info, it could also be due to other things, such as inadequate hides (?), nervous because of excess activity nearby, or handling-? (best to wait until snake
has fed about 3 times at normal intervals before you do any handling). So while it's likely just hunger, you have to consider the whole picture & we don't have that info to
    answer you accurately.

    Re: Concerns

Shes 6 months old and I fed her 3 pinkies 2 days ago because I did not want to throw them to waste. I have 6 adult size mice around the same girth as her largest part of her body. I have a hot hide, a log in the middle of the enclosure so she can go through or hide in, and I have a cool hide next to a water dish. I also have a fake vine to make her feel more safe and give it an almost natural look. Should I try feeding her an adult mice tonight?

Without seeing her, I'd assume she is HUNGRY, as pinkies are too small for even a hatchling BP. Are you referring to rat or mouse pinkies? They aren't the same size at all.

Hatchling BPs normally eat hopper mice as first meals. Pinkies (either kind) hardly register as a meal at all, & digest very quickly, so yeah, I'd offer her a real dinner.

I am referring to small mice pinkies, so you think I should feed her an appropriate sized meal tonight or try? She doesn't seem to be banging her head on the lid or wall but rather just roaming her enclosure. Im new to having a ball python even tho I have a baby leopard tortoise but I got concerned.

Yes...FEED HER tonight. Small mouse pinkies don't even register as a meal. You've been starving her if that's all you're feeding her.

You don't see mouse pinkies on that feeding chart, do you? There's a reason for that...they're totally inadequate for a BP. (Mouse pinkies would be "first meals" for small colubrids such as king or corn snakes, not BPs)
