Ovulation or Re-absorbtion?

I have a female ball python that locked the first time a little over 4 months ago. I noticed that she was a little swollen and had a bit of tail suck a couple days ago. I palpated her and could clearly feel 5 lumps that where larger than golf balls. It has now been 6 days and I have palpated her every other day or so. I noticed that the eggs started to feel different, maybe more spread out and just a little harder to feel. Then within a day or two they started feeling significantly smaller. She isn’t as swollen now, but still a bit. Is this ovulation or re-absorbsion? She also has now started to appear a bit flat.

Actual eggs are harder to feel than follicles as the egg structure develops around the follicles.

Pictures might help us see more as, after ovulation, the eggs move further down the oviduct which changes the shape of the lower third of the body.

Has her behaviour changed in terms of where in the enclosure she is spending most of her time?

No, her behavior hasn’t changed at all. I did notice her laying a bit oh her side today, but not much. I know that right after ovulation you can’t feel the follicles any longer. However, I can still feel the follicles, they just feel different and a bit smaller. I can’t figure out how to attach a picture.

So she hasn't gone from bowl wraping on the cool end to hogging the hot side?

Are the follicles you can feel still in the same position on the snake?

ok, thank you. I think I was able to get a couple photos on here. The follicles haven’t really moved at all. Maybe they’ve spread apart a bit more. I haven’t noticed her change where she’s sitting. However, about 2 sos ago I had an incident where my thermostat probe got ripped off the heat tape and the temp went up a couple degrees without me noticing. She even went to the front of the bin during that time, but that was just because of the temp. As you should be able to see, she also looks kinda flat near her tail.

I'm in sort of the same boat. Locked 4 times. Felt follicules growing the last 2 months never huge. May 4th saw her like this thought maybe build. But ever since she's been either on the hotspot or soaking( which she never does ). So I'm beginning to think i may have seen the tail end of ovulation and if she sheds in the next week or so that would help me know. She just doesn't seem to be as thick as she was a month ago. So I'm worries about slugs

My other female has follicules that are like golf balls and is just wedged between her water bowl and side of tub. So I think she is gonna go soon, don't want to miss it.

Incubator has been on for months testing.
Any advice or info would help.
