    The only thing I can think of that might work to lift those folded scales is if you use a rubber ear syringe for gentle suction. And assuming you have nothing better to do?

    LOL scale grooming for pale-coloured BPs!

    I've found just gently rubbing a finger over the bent scales can smooth them out most of the time
