how long will a large exo terra last a nicaragan? Advice please.

Its 18x18x36 and she is currently only 55 grams. I have her in a sterilite shoebox setup right now. I am trying to decide if its worth moving my crested geckos out of the exo terra and converting the 29 into a vertical for them.. If she will stay comfortably in the exoterra for a few years I will go ahead and start planning to move her over..Thanks so much for any advice.

Well - a nicaragan boa like all Boa imperators is basic semi-arboreal, but they can be kept just fine in a storage tub. For all Boas the tank,cage or tubs footprint is more important than the height. As such it is very likely your Nicaraguan boa will out grow a 18x18x36 exo terra cage fairly quickly. Almost certainly with in the next 12-18 months. So in my personal opinion - the eco terra is better left to the Crested geckos.

Keep the Boa is a tub until it is at least 18-24 months old - and then move it into it's adult cage (say a 4'x2'x15-18"). Even though they won't be an adult at the time. Also it should be noted that most shoebox & sweater storage tubs tend to be about 6-7" tall, which enough to allow for juvenile boa to at set on top of their hides.
