I got lucky with this one.
One thing I'm not familiar with is what they look like pre-shed.
He's dark again, but I'm not sure if it indicates a shed coming.
This is a new color scheme for me here.

I knew I was missing somebody!!
Great to see you checking in, and yes, I straightened myself out and moved out of the retic fixation and brought myself back into the two species that I enjoy most, Boas and Carpets. Being bitten 3-4 times by the retic was a drag, and the last bite was deal breaker. After placing the retic I knew I had an open spot for another animal.
The difficult decision was whether to add another boa or a carpet. Once that decision was made, I had another tough choice, Brisbane, coastal or Bredli?
Nick made things very easy and here I am!
I very happy and relaxed with my collection now.

Yes, just in time!
I'm sorry to read about your retic but I'm happy you were able to find a good solution and it's great you were able to discuss things with Nick and find a stellar addition. If you recall, Alpha came to me in the exact same way! Hard to say enough good things about Nick.
Kevin's coloring is incredible. I know you've been as big on Brisbane as I have but you really needed this Bredl's. Thrilled to see him on your deck!

Damn brother,
That is what I needed to hear.
Nick and ANYTHING from him is top shelf.
My Bredli is perfect here and I have no regrets!
I was always saying I wanted a Bredli, maybe for years actually. Now, I'm happy to have the perfect addition.

You have some incredible genetic traits in Kevin, including Lazik and Harris lineage, that will be fun to see play out. You also capture such great pictures that are such a valuable addition to this forum. Hoping to see your enclosure set up soon and whether you decide on a UV light.
It seems we have a bit of a Bredli explosion in the forum now so that is exciting to see!

I'll be using the old retic cage for this boy. He's established at 2.5 years old, confident and has the potential to hit the 8 foot mark. I like the fact the 6 x 30" x 2' cage is large enough to allow several areas of different temperatures.
Directly above the perches, the heat panel can warm the area to over 100 degrees on the warm side. The upper end of the cool area is in the high 80's and the floor is in the low 80's.
My plan for the night drop is basically no heat. The room ambient temp is 69-70 and that's about as low as I can make it. I'll see how that all works shortly.
While I like the idea of UV light, I'm probably not going to add any unless I see some issues develop with Kevin's health. That is doubtful so we're probably staying with the cage as is.
I WILL use the summer to our advantage and let the boy bask in the real sunshine.
He was out yesterday for nearly and hour just soaking up the rays. Kevin's attitude and behavior is vary similar to Jewel's, my coastal carpet.
I'm excited to see how this guy will grow and where his color pattern ends up. I told Nick I like the natural, "classic" Bredli scheme. Kevin does have some black and his tail is darker and I like that. He's almost 3 years old so I'm not sure how much he'll change.

Kevin is a looker. I especially love the dark phase.
