    Re: Rescue BP

My sister just reminded me that I never updated on him. (Assuming he’s a male, because he’s a bit on the smaller side, though that could be from neglect by his previous owner. Been lazy about getting him to the vet since he has no other major concerns)

It’s been a little over 3 months now I guess... I’ve named him Jango, like Jango Fett from Star Wars (my other BP is Boba, so it seemed to work). He is seriously the best snake ever. Eats super well, very calm, very cooperative. Good poops

Starting to really show his personality with me. I thought his eyes had some stuck shed, but they remained like that during a few sheds so I was worried they were damaged, but after his last shed they look super clear. He still doesn’t shed in one piece, so I’m working on paying super close attention to his humidity levels. I bought a covered hide that I’m using as a humidity tank. This last shed was a lot better than his previous ones (this was his third with me) but still not in one piece and there was about a 4-6” piece of skin still stuck to his back I had to help him with. But major improvements from where he was a few months ago.

Other than that, he is very social, loves to be handled... LOVES hair and will always go for your head, often trying to burrow into my ponytail.

What a good baby!! He's lucky to have you!
Some girls were horse girls growing up. I was a snake girl.

Daughter of a herpetologist, student of the "Snake Man" Al Robbins, lover of all animals.
Finished my M.B.S! Currently employed with grassmere outreach!

I specialize in rehabilitation and work with local fish and wildlife for rehab/release of native species. For exotics I work with reptile sanctuaries to rehabilitate and rehome to either qualified private owners or humane licensed facilities. I do not believe in fatal population control.
Please feel free to message me with any questions. I don't know everything but I can point you towards resources.
Do not message me with images of a snake you killed to identify it. I will ignore you.
