Baby ball python with mites- Help! Suggestions?

So I’m going to try posting a photo or at least a link at the end of this post. I just got my boy Apache on the 16th. Left him alone for a week to settle and he has eaten for me. I go to clean his cage today and notice black spots moving around. Then I check him closer and it seems like black spots under his scales. I worry because I believe he weighed 97 grams from the Breeder and seems skinny but I dismissed it as him being a baby (I know terrible conclusion). Now I wonder if mites haven’t been there for two weeks on him...
What measures can I take to treat him? I’ve never dealt with mites before and him being a baby I’m super worried about them being on him since he’s so small. I’ve got Reptile Mite Spray being shipped and I’ll use it on him Saturday when it gets here but that seems so far away. I tried soaking him for several minutes but he wasn’t cooperative and I didn't want to stress him more as I had him out about 20min already scrubbing down his tub/decor.
Help and suggestions are much appreciated. I have two other snakes and I don’t want this to spread. What are good preventatives? And is there a “home remedy” I could try tomorrow? I really don’t want to stress my little boy Apache out but I also want him to get better.

Apache (sorry not a great pic - would you worry about how small he is?):

Until you get more effective means (see bcr229's extensive suggestions) I would remove all decor (mites hide in substrate & wood decor/branches), keep him ONLY white paper towels (so the mites can be seen), with 2 hides (warm & cool side) & water bowl...nothing that mites can leave eggs or hide in.

Bathe him once a day in luke-warm water (you MUST take the temperature of the water...you want low to mid-80*- it will FEEL COOL to you because your body is about 98*-ok?) Plain water does NO good...you need to add a little bit of mild soap like Dawn or Ivory liquid...that is what breaks the surface tension of the water so the mites will drown...otherwise they survive. Stay right with the snake, he should not be swimming in deep water, just enough water to cover his body...support & try to keep him calm for 20-30 minutes to give the most mites time to drown. This will remove most but probably not all (they hide on eyes, chin-mouth, vent) but it's MUCH better to remove as many as you can NOW. (Don't let your snake drink any of the soapy bath water- it will upset his tummy.)

Mites carry diseases and can dehydrate a snake to the point of causing death sooner than you might think, especially since you were late to notice them. Do NOT underestimate these tiny but nasty blood-suckers. Don't be surprised if your snake soaks in his water bowl too, until treatment is more thorough. Make sure his bowl is big enough for him to soak, but do NOT add any soap to it...assume he'll drink it too. (& he needs to stay well-hydrated). Mites can reproduce
their numbers exponentially, & you may need more than one treatment to deal with a second wave after eggs hatch out...so stay vigilant. Poor little beep...

Thank you so much for those who have replied! I’m going to treat him tomorrow with a dish soap bath and look for mite killing sprays so I can focus on the enclosures too. I appreciate the reference to the other post!

If you do the dish soap let him swim around in the water for a little bit so he just drinks the plain water and not any soap. Then what I did with the soap is put a drop or two on my hand and rubbed it up and down his scales, and then rinse him off with luke warm water.
