Re: Very Stressed Baby Noodle
I received a ball from reptmart, communication isn't the best but they did good for me.
If yours came in a bag check it for a yellow tag. It should say last time eaten and what it ate. I asked for age, mother, and father in the comments when I ordered and they wrote it on the invoice.

You are a new owner that houses a 4 months old animal in a cage designed for an adult and in 90% of the cases even when clustering it up it will just does not work which is why you should start with a smaller enclosure for optimum security such as a 10 gallons tank and go from there and upgrade as the animal grows.
You also need to feed the right prey and make sure the animal eats with consistency before starting to handle the animal on a regular basis.

Just make extra sure that the temperature of the GLASS under the substrate isn't above 90ish. It the top of the bedding is 88 then the glass could easily be hot enough to burn him. Other than that, follow the advice given to a T. You have 20+ years left with him so don't stress on handling and such right now

Re: Very Stressed Baby Noodle
Yay for baby noodles! They're still pretty tiny when 3-4 months. Do you have a food scale you can weigh him on? A 40 gallon enclosure is way, way too big. I'd suggest moving him to a smaller enclosure and, even then, provide him with lots of clutter and hiding spots. I echo everyone else's comments and would also suggest getting an IR gun to read the temps. Where do you have the temperature probe for the UTH?
