    Cork Stump

I built a 24" X 24" X 96" enclosure for my Boa and I am making it bioactive. The ABG substrate won't hold the plants I plan on using very well until the root system (if ever) takes root. I am looking to buy some cork stumps to use as planters and try to give the plants a fighting chance. I have been unable to find any online or local, any suggestions?

I am willing to cut longer pieces down if I have to but I can't find any longer rounds either? Looking for something like these...

Here is the enclosure. I am planning more enrichment (sanitizing some wood right now) and adding about 8 plants.

That's a really good idea! The bio dude sells cork bark tubes, but you'd have to cut them: https://www.thebiodude.com/collections/cork-bark-tubes Though they may be a little too small, but love the idea.

I usually get cork rounds at reptile shows, but who knows when those will be happening again. Chewy.com sells medium cork rounds from ZooMed, and they're currently in stock (I just got a few, actually). Pangea sells cork rounds in assorted sizes that you can choose from, and Dart Frog Connection has a couple of sizes but the COVID19 situation has affected shipping and supplies, and neither has them in stock right now. Glass Box Tropicals has cork rounds, but I think they are small. From your photo, it looks like you already found New England Herpetoculture - and like the other companies, their shipping options are limited right now. I think you'll be able to get what you need online, but unfortunately it looks like it won't happen just yet.

If you google 'cork bark planters' a few places have them but good lord, they're expensive.

Chewy was the only place that had anything available for shipping so I ordered a few. I'll post the results when I get them and try it out.

    Re: Cork Stump

I bought my bp a cork stump for a decent price off of Chewy. It kinda came looking like a boot lol (which worked for her setup) but I'm pretty sure you could cut them to size. I'm sure there are cheaper places to buy them, but as a last resort it may be worth checking out.
