    RHP for pvc enclosure

    Dear friends,

I have a bit of a situation on hand. I have a custom built 4x2x2 pvc enclosure, I purchased an 80 watt RHP for it, and had everything set up correctly with my proportional thermostat, I let it sit for a while but the temps never got above 70... So because I hadn't done enough research BEFORE hand, I did some more and figured out that I would need a 120 watt because the 80 was not powerful enough. My only problem now is that the 120 watt RHP is huge and I'm concerned that there will not be enough of a temperature gradient for my lady to be comfortable enough. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you

Reptile Basics RHP? They’re pretty large/long at the higher wattages. Pro Products RHPs are proportionally smaller at similar wattages. Give Bob a call/email and see what he’d recommend. Probably something in the 100watt range

What’s the ambients of your room the cage is in, and how many vents? How are you checking the temps? Cool side not reaching above 70 I’m assuming?
