Having made many trips to Yankeeland in the past, I totally understand what you mean on the friendly meter. Good folks, just a little different from the South.

Happy Anniversary!!! I told my fiance that a NERD tour is a strong contender for my wedding gift from her
Apparently, great minds DO think alike, hahahaha.

I'm glad you had a great time, thanks for sharing!!
And good seeing your smiling face on the forum, not enough smiles in the world these days...
I'm not even being hyperbolic - I've been married 22 years and this was one of the BEST presents I've ever had! We enjoyed ourselves so much, the collection is incredible. I interacted with species I will never be able to afford and yet found them worth every dollar. Such a treat to behold. I would campaign hard for this as your next gift! And if I lived as close as you do, heck I'd be out there every weekend just volunteering to clean cages or something.

And it's nice being back on the board for a visit - working from home has it's perks! Hope you and yours are weathering the craziness ok.

    That's awesome!!!

The drive to the NERD facility isn't too bad, but still about an hour and twenty minutes. So not exactly close but close enough!

All is well here, so far so good(ish), hahahhaha. You and yours stay safe as well. Hope to see you around the forum.

Thank you!! That ETB blew my mind. Stunningly beautiful. The fluorescent lighting was super terrible there, so impossible to capture the true beauty of these creatures in a camera phone. But trust me, they are a sight to behold. And SOOOO sweet!! Very gentle and agreeable for an arboreal snake.

If I wasn't me, I'd hate me. I'm already kind of jealous of my last week's self. They're the pinnacle of pythons for a reason.

No! And I was super bummed!! He was either at another facility or being used for an outreach program, my host wasn’t sure.
