Ok, I need help. I got the the temp controllers, but what is the best way to set this up? On the cool side I have the heat emitter suspended above the tank, and on the hot side I have a day lamp and a night lamp suspended above the tank and set to switch every 12 hours or so depending what season it is (I change timers according to when days get shorter in the winter). I also raised both lamps so that its 80 on the cool side and 90 on the hot side. Do I need temp controllers for all 3 heat sources? If so I may have got the wrong ones. What would you recommend for a thermostat?

Im not sure what room temps you are working with, but if it isnt too cold, you could simply run your under tank heat pad with thermostat, set to 88 or so, and a ceramic heat emitter over the top with a thermostat set to 80 to keep ambient temps stable. That is what I do. BPs are nocturnal, so as long as they get some kind of day/night cycle (which any room with a window will provide), they are fine.

Husbandry aside. Like it's been said before, downsizing prey is a good way to kickstart them into eating. I also like to pre-scent the enclosure. After I euthanize the rat, I'll use the low cool setting on my blow dryer to gently blow rat scent into the enclosure. That usually gets them twitchy and excited to feed. Then I warm it up a bit and present it to the snake. I also try to make sure the enclosure is clean with fresh substrate when I do this if it's a picky eater.
