I'll be you picking this girl up on the first. Put a deposit down. Seams calm for a blood. She handles well.

I don't know much about bloods but she is easy to handle comparatively to the other one who was tracking anything that moves. I held her for a couple of minuets and she relaxed and never hissed when picked up. Was told she is a Sumatran? She is beautiful IMO. 5 months old. Such a stubby baby. Love her.

Re: New blood on the 1st.
If it’s Sumatran then it’s not a blood python, it’s a short tail python. Two completely different species.
Don’t know much about them...??? Then I’d suggest some thorough research before this animal is in your care.

You beat me to it.
Those are two completely different species with different husbandry requirements.

My boy is a Borneo, so I don't know enough about Sumatrans to offer any quality advice specific to the species.
Good luck!! STPs are really cool animals.

It's a blood (p. brongersmai). You'll see imports or CH from wholesalers or pet stores still listing them as Malaysian or Sumatran Blood Pythons. You'll see Black Bloods and Borneo Bloods listed too, they aren't up on current species info is all.
