Do you think this Axantic Pied also has Leopard?

I acquired this girl as an axantic pied possible leopard. One of the parents was a leopard so it's possible but the seller wasn't certain enough to claim it.

Any thoughts or suggestions for how to tell if this girls also has the leopard gene?

I'm certain the breeder would have studied the animal in close detail. Especially for a high value snake.

Since piebald can confuse patterns, and some line bred Axanthics have intriguing markings--I would not guess one way or the other.

You will find out on the ratios of your first clutch if you breed her--unless your intent is to resell.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Trust your breeder, if a snake of this value was created, odds are good he knows what he is doing. He had all the other animals involved with this breeding project, if he can't ID one way or the other, odds are nobody else will be able to either. The only way you're going to know for sure is by breeding. Beautiful snake either way!

Re: Do you think this Axantic Pied also has Leopard?

Thanks for the feedback. I got the impression the seller wasn't big into the leopard gene so I thought someone that was might have a "trick" but it doesn't really matter either way since I'll be breeding her in the same project regardless.

The only difference is that if she's not Leopard, I need to keep the gene in my shopping list. I'd definitely like it add it at some point.
