What in the world? Is this normal?

Ventress the Viper Boa evacuated in her dish per usual. But what? I'm used to urates stuck on the bottom and you can see some towards the bottom right of dish. But this white stringy thing...... Is that soft urates or a worm....... Nasty smelling as well. Any one experience this with any snake?

Advertised female but really not sure. That'd make sense though. I've had "her" well over a year so I suppose a trip to the vet would sort some things out.

"She" went to vet today. "She" has spurs. I didn't want him to pop or probe her because she's now in shed. Mystery should be solved soon with fecal sample and other investigations.

I have four males ball pythons. I find these in their water dishes a lot. They’re some “happy boys”. I really think they need to go on an occasional date or two.

Why do they shed them?? My boa has dropped a few of those over the years. His were confirmed sperm plugs but I just wondered why this happens

From what I've been told it prevents or inhibits the ability of other males sperm to get through and impregnate the female.

Update: Definitely Male and definitely a sperm plug. Is there any way to edit title for future search purposes?
