    Emp. Scorpion

    Im thinking about geting one, but im wondering if you can get sick from a sting and if they are handle able and should i go with a petstore or a Expo to get one? Im love the flat rocks but not sure yet what do you suggest i have a 20L already would coconut bedding work well ?
    don't have any reptiles apartment says no.

    Yes, you can handle them. IF they sting, it will hurt like a nasty bee sting, but no one has been recorded dying from an emperor scorpion. They have very weak venom. However, it is possible to be allergic to the venom, as many people are allergic to bee venom.

    Flat rocks are not a great scorp to handle as they just LOVE to pinch, and they are very strong! Extremely mild venom though.

    Here's my emp.



    The ground coconut bark stuff is fine (like bed-a-beast or eco earth) these guys like to dig.

    That pic was when she was preggers. Since then she had 25 babies.

    Did you sell these to pet stores or at expos? If so, would you mind giving a rough idea of how much? I'm just curious - not a big fan of insects (don't even know if Scorps are insects)

    Scorps are arachnids.

    I sold the babies to friends/co-workers. I have three left. I sold them for $8 each or two for $12. Emps are cheap.

    ok so it will be alright if i get stung im not alergic to bee stings so will i be to a Emp.? So are they pretty cool to have? what how should i do the tank. I have a 20L tank and some left over coconut husk bedding i don't have a UTH is that fine? Also what is some good hides to have and can you post some pics of your Emp tanks Thanks Aaron Also was wondering if they are able to climb and get out?
