Ball python terrarium
Hello everybody, I have a female ball python that should be around 7 months old (her weight is 260 grams, should be 9.17 oz).
At what weight should it be moved to the definitive terrarium? I have seen terrariums with 3D concrete background and decorations, is a terrarium of this type suitable for pythons or are there contraindications?
thank you all
sorry for my poor english

Re: Ball python terrarium
I think the general rule is when they are stretched out and are longer than two sides of the tank/cage.

Re: Ball python terrarium
Thank you for your replay,
now she is in a box 40x30 cm the final one will be 90x50 cm.. should i move her when she'll be half way? (in this box she'll be fine at 70cm, in the next one at 140cm... if i move her when she'll be 105cm is it ok? or should i move before or later?)
A boy at a reptiles fair told me that concrete (cement?) is too rough and can hurt and it's really difficult to clean it if she poo over it, is it true? Are there other drawback on this kind of decorations? (i'd like to buy a terrarium with a 3D background made with concrete)

I'm not sure I've ever heard of concrete backrounds. Most of the ones avalible (near me at least) are made of foam. I would imagine concrete would be harder to clean.

Normally, it's foam coated with underlayment / grout / cement. Looks like rocks.

Probably it’s only coated of concrete... but si it ok for ball Pythons? Or it could be dangerous?

I'd put a top coat of epoxy probably.
