please help me ID these morphs

    Hello.

I am fairly new too breeding ball pythons. But i managed to get some hatclings in november .
Now i am trying to guess what is in them, and hope I can get a bit of help from here.

The parring was: Blaze-Butter-Enchi-Fire X Pastel

The first one: I think this is Butter-Fire-Pastel

The Second: I Think this is Enchi-Pastel

The third: I Think this is Butter-Fire

    The fourth: I think Butter-Enchi

    The Fifth: I Think Fire-Pastel.

That was the first 5 hatchlings
I hope the quality of the pictures is good enough for ID. Next week i may be able too post photos from a camera if needed.

Also this is my first post, but hopefully not the last. So if I have done anything wrong please let me now.... and forgive

Thank you all in advance, and my you all have a lovely day.

Blaze is a dominant trait. In the pairing listed you should have aprox. 50% of the offspring with this gene. I've only see two or three Blaze and they had reduced pattern, a slightly brighter color, and a black dot under the eye. I am not sure if the dot is actually linked to the morph...or just another trait tagging along genetically. Since you are working with it: Perhaps you can clarify how you ID this gene?

    thx for commenting.

Im really not sure how to identify blaze with 100% certainty.
The second snake might have blaze in. There are dots on the upperlip The belly is greyish and almost patternless. And the orange/yellow are more deep in color than I would expect.

From what I understand from the blaze gene, It is easier to identify when the snakes are about 400grams.

Again. This is my first clutch of hatchlings, so identifying them is almost just a guessing game for me

Yes, I thought the second snake was too bright, and the fifth snake didn't look like Fire to my eyes.

I think that #2 is a Blaze Enchi Pastel and #5 is a Blaze Pastel.

I'm quite impressed by snake #2--the color and patterning. I've seen a german breeder with a Blaze Enchi a while back and the Enchi banding was flawless. One more morph to add to my shopping list!

Re: please help me ID these morphs

#5 The reason i think it is fire and not blaxe, is because the color between the black on the dorsal stripe is more a golden color. But yeah, It could be blaze instead of fire.

But yeah, number 2 is insane in real life.

I have told myself i can only keep 2 hatchlings from the clutch of 7(2 not showing). And im pretty sure #2 is one of them

How common is blaze in the states?

In the NorthEast USA---Very Rare. I've seen a lot of genes get relabeled by various breeders to try and spur interest: Only once I remember seeing Blaze, but, I didn't look at the snake because the breeder had renamed a lot of the genes and I couldn't be bothered to guess what they really were...

I hatched out a similar clutch, minus the blaze and Enchi, I don't know a lot about blaze but here are my guesses based on what I have produced or seen.

#1 butter blaze pastel (maybe fire)
Here is the butter fire pastel I hatched, used as a reference when i was identifying yours.

    #2 enchi pastel blaze

    #3 butter fire blaze.
This is what I usually expect butter fires to look like, yours has a more blushed head but does not look like its blushing from the pastel gene.

    #4 butter enchi

    #5 fire pastel possibly blaze.
This is the fire pastel I hatched as reference. The color on yours seems off for just a pastel fire in my opinion.

Hope this helped, that's a beautiful clutch for sure!

You're Welcome In my opinion, #1 could possibly have pastel, but i dont think #2 does, it would look a lot like #1 if it had pastel.
