    Leviathan Progression Thread

Last week I went to town which is something i don't do too often and i decided to stop into the local pet store. I saw they had normal ball pythons for a price i could not refuse. I had a couple of empty tanks laying around at the house so my wife talked me into getting this big boy or girl. Which is pretty shocking because my wife is far from a snake lover. I took the biggest one they had because it looked good and healthy. I set his enclosure up based off of the suggested guide in the other threads and his enclosure looks great and is holding temps and humidty wonderfully. Hes been out every night like clock work when the lights go out, exploring, drinking water or soaking since ive brought him home which i know are good signs. Ive not touched him or disturbed him since brining him home because i plan on feeding him next week and I know handling comes last. Im excited to have another ball python and i cant believe i paid less than $40 for this monster. A new snake is always a good way to start off the new year lol

I agree, looks like a great choice & I look forward to your updates. It's not that the various morphs aren't pretty too, but when it comes to pets that I choose, I like
"normal" BPs for the same reasons I like canine "mutts". (more natural, less likely to have inbreeding issues, etc.) And besides, "personality" is paramount to me.

I forgot to add that, i absolutely love normal BP's. They are my favorite next to the Blue Eyes Lucy. Something about their natural beauty is so admirable.

    Re: Leviathan Progression Thread

I fed Leviathan tonight after a week of adjustment and he took the mouse right away. When he came out to explore tonight he just had his head poked out of his hide lol Im very happy he ate tonight, im gonna check tomorrow to make sure he swallowed it all. Hopefully he will be a strong eater

    Re: Leviathan Progression Thread

Tonight was feeding night for Leviathan, did not hit the mouse right away but I'm 99% certain he grabbed it up after I left it on top of hiss favorite hide. It feels good to have a ball python again doing well, I formed a bit of anxiety after Leo did poorly but with this guy doing so well is making me feel way better.

Figure i would add some photos of Leviathan since ive had him out a few times and got the chance to actually take some. Unfortunately its still way to cold to take them outside.

    Re: Leviathan Progression Thread

Leviathan had his first shed with me yesterday. He shed 100% in one piece too which is great. Im happy he's doing so well and his enclosure is perfect.
