    Re: Sand boa Rosy boas

Sand boas or Rosy Boas? They are different. Sand boas are very docile and slow movers. They tend to just burrow until they eat or are taken out. They have very cool and broad patterns and morphs. A desert snake that doesn't do well in humid conditions. They are from the Middle Eastern area. 65.00 is a decent price, but you may be able to grab one for 50 at a show, although the season is running down for them.

Rosy Boas are also varied in colors and morphs. They tend to be a little bigger and a lot more active. They have basically the same requirements as a BP, but don't get as thick or long. They also are extremely docile and friendly snakes. I prefer the Rosy Boas over a Sand Boa, but they are both great snakes to have. They are not shy snakes like many are, mine never stay still and are always roving ALL over the place. They run anywhere from 65-100. Some albinos and ghosts will run up to the 200 mark, but if you look around you can grab a deal. I have an albino whitewater that I paid 135 for and they usually run for about 200-250.

I got my kenyan for 40 at a show. He's very active and I love watching him. It's fun watching him climb up to the top corner of the tank and get on the lip (it's a fish tank with a drop on screen top) and try to go across it. He doesn't stay long up there cause he falls down then goes back up and does it again. He's 5 1/2 months old and full of piss and vinegar.

    Re: Sand boa Rosy boas

I have three sand boas. A normal kenyan, an anery kenyan, and a roughscaled sand boa. They are awesome. Very docile snakes. They need substrate to burrow in.

$65 is an average price for anerys.

I was going to breed mine, but found out I had two males instead of a pair. *sigh* Got to get a couple albino het anery females..
